Allied Insurance Agency

Allied Insurance Agency of Maine was incorporated in 1983. The original purpose of the Agency was to provide Health Insurance (on a group basis) to any retail member of Associated Grocers of Maine, Inc.

In 1985, Allied Insurance began to offer Business Insurance for the storeowner. Coverages for the Building, Contents, Liability and Workers Compensation were available. The cost of these policies can be centrally billed, thereby spreading the cost of the insurance over a full year.

Personal Lines insurance has been added and can also be centrally billed for the storeowner.

Newest additions to the line of products offered are retirement plans for the storeowners and their employees as well as Long Term Care.

Companies presently represented are Peerless Insurance, Patrons Oxford Insurance, Progressive Insurance, American International Group, Anthem Blue Cross, Cigna, Harvard, Aetna, North American Life, and American National Insurance Company.
